~ Early 19th Century Ornamental SIgnal Cannon ~
Here we have an ornamental signal cannon in the style of the early 19th century with an iron framed carriage.
These signal cannons were popular in the later part of the Napoleonic Wars and the 100 Days up until the 1840's when cannon technology moved on.
These small cannon were made to signal other ships at sea.
The cannon and its carriage are both made from iron, the carriage being a frame rather than a solid section.
This signal cannon has no touch hole so was made as an ornamental or presentation piece.

~ Condition ~
