~ Edward VII Cavalry Officers Sword ~
An almost pristine cavalry officers sword from the early years of the 20th Century in the reign of Edward VII.
The sword has the honeysuckle guard typical to the 1821 Heavy Cavalry sword and in the late 19th century all British Cavalry regiments converted to using the Heavy Cavalry hilt, what makes this sword truly special is the incredibly long blade.
This sword is a brilliant example of the form retailed by Hobson at their Lexington St address with a blade made by Pillin, beautifully etched with foliate designs and the initials of the initial owner WH(or A)C.
This sword is in wonderful condition, coming from a brilliant collector and and it deserves to go to a collection where it can be appreciated fully.
