This is a German WW1 S84/98 bayonet with a sawback blade. It was made by Erfurt in 1915 and has the Crown over "Erfurt" stamped on the ricasso. The top edge of the blade has a Crown over "W" over "15" followed by an inspection stamp. The top of the rudimentary muzzle ring has a number "3" stamped into it. The grips are wood secured by two screw bolts. The scabbard is all steel. (see The German Bayonet Book By John Walter, Page 61, middle picture for a virtually identical bayonet by the same maker).
