This is an excellent 6 shot, pin fire French military revolver. It has a 4” round steel barrel (8 ¾” overall). The pistol’s bore is near mint bright and clean with crisp rifling. The top of the barrel is crisply signed with E. Lefaucheux Paris Bte manufacturer detail (illustrated). It has a triangular post fore sight and the rear sight consists of a grooved hammer. The pistol’s walnut grip has just light bumps and bruises to be expected. The frame & cylinder have ornate, deep cut tooled foliate decoration. The frame is numbered 8873 and has the Lefaucheux ‘LF’ inspection mark together with his pistol trademark. It has its original captive steel ejector rod. The pistol is side gate loading, has a folding trigger which has a partially visible number ‘116?’and is fully functioning in both single & double action. The butt is fitted with military lanyard ring.
