MINIATURE Pinfire Rifle **EXPERTLY CRAFTED**BLANK FIRING**Austrian Late 19th Century Break Action Pin Fire Rifle With Bayonet, Sling & Display Box. MISC 881 - MISC 881

An unusual expertly made late 19th century Austrian white metal and wood pin fire rifle. The rifle including bayonet is a diminutive 5 ¼” overall length and is fitted with thin leather sling. The rifle breaks open and the cocking and firing actions work (the muzzle opening is about 1mm width, if it were possible to find antique 1mm blank pin fire rounds the gun would be capable of firing them). It has a 2” octagonal barrel marked ‘Austria’. The barrel is partially open either partly obstructed by residue or the tip of a screw that secures the tiny bayonet to the barrel. Wood stock plates are undamaged and the metal work has just the tarnish and staining to be expected with age. The rifle comes with a vinyl covered foam lined display box with glass viewing panel.
