Standard military calibre .69. Dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Circa 1800-1815. Rounded typical brass military skull-crusher butt-cap, matching brass military style trigger-guard, fore-end pipe and side-plate. Action in excellent working order. The standard military pattern Tower lock is engraved  with the makers name "D EGG" & "Crown GR". The barrel is engraved on top with the name "D. EGG LONDON". The trigger guard marked "E - No. 36. This type of heavy calibre flintlock pistol were carried by British and Colonial military officers during the era of the Napoleonic campaigns of the late 18th-early 19th century.  These pistols were well regarded as being very reliable by serving British officers at the time. Overall length 15.5 inches. Complete with its original steel ramrod. Good condition and in working order. Ref 8455.
