A French 1814 Resturation period Officers Sword of Lancer. A superb quality sword with the blade marked in engraved gilt lettering “Garde Royale” to one side and “Regt De Lanciers” to the other. The are also the Royal Cypher and shielded three Fluer de Lys along with manufactures details to the riasco although quit difficult to decipher. The gilt brass hilt shows a floral design and is engraved with the owners monogram “MS”. Grip is shargreen wrapped and wirebound. Retained in its correct steel scabbard.
