Create my profile now!A very good Victorian era English Bowie & Scabbard. It has undamaged stag horn scales & German Silver cross guard. The scales and tang are holed for wrist cord. It has a 4 ¾” single edged, deep swept, Bowie blade, marked by the manufacturer ‘George Butler & Co Trinity Works Sheffield England’ with ‘key’ trademark (George Butler & Co Sheffield C1810-1952, see pages 169-170 of the Sheffield knife Book by Tweedale). Its original riveted & stitched brown leather sheath has an integral belt loop. The rear of the sheath and belt loop are stamped ‘Laker’ most likely the manufacturer or retailer of the sheath.
