Description

QUALITY, George III, 1803-1804 Antique Hand Carved Ebony Gentleman’s Walking Stick With Ornately Crafted Sterling Silver Birmingham Hallmarked Ball Handle By Charles Mappin of Mappin & Webb. Sn 11736 - 11736

This is a beautiful original George III era Gentleman’s walking stick. The hand tooled Ebony walking stick measures 34 ½” in length. The wood is ornately carved with foliate and geometric designs. It has a conical brass end cap and a large ornately tooled silver ball handle. The neck of the handle has crisp sterling silver hallmarks dating to 1803-1804 Birmingham Charles Mappin of the prestigious Mappin & Webb. The top of the handle has a void silver disc. The lower section of the wood has a stable contemporary repair which does not detract from the attractiveness of this walking stick. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 11736
