~ A new spec. German Mauser Bolo C96 7.62mm Carbine With Later Wooden Box ~


The top of the chamber area is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N". The left side of the barrel extension has the serial number. The right rear frame panel is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/ OBERNDORF A. NECKAR". It has the distinctive 50-1000 meter rear sight and ramp front sight with a fixed bead on top.

It is stamped with several numbers '6640', '471', '689471'. The serial number '477789' is stamped to the barrel extension, which dates it to the 1920's and makes it a Bolo.

It can be cocked and dry fired.

It comes with deactivation certificate dated: 16/11/2012. The registered serial number on the certificate is "47789".

The woodwork is either a replacement or has been heavily sanded and varnished.

~ Dimensions ~

The gun is 35 inches (89cm) long with barrel measuring 16 inches (41cm).

The wooden box is 38 inches (96.5cm) long by 8.25 inches (21cm) wide and 3 inches (7.5cm) deep.

The total weight is 3.9 kg.

~ Condition ~

The condition of the gun is excellent. It can be cocked and dry fired. The box is slightly worn.

The Mauser C96 is a semi-automatic pistol that was originally produced by German arms manufacturer Mauser from 1896 to 1937. Unlicensed copies of the gun were also manufactured in Spain and China in the first half of the 20th century
