Create my profile now!This is an original WW2 Ghurkha’s Kukri. The sturdy military grade weapon is 17” overall length. The wood handle has a nickel plated brass pommel cap, hilt bands and rivets . The curved 12 ½” nickel plated blade is sharp and has the distinctive Kukri ‘notch’. The blade has staining consistent with age. There are no manufacturer or date marks on the Kukri. The Kukri is accompanied by 2 period skinners with wood handles which have nickel plated steel pommel caps. Each of the skinners have 2 ¾” long, curved nickel plated blades. The blades have staining to be expected. Also with the kukri are 4 white metal cap badges: The ‘Shiny Eight’ 8th Ghurka Regiment with crossed Kukris and number 8: Duke Of Cornwall’s Light Infantry with ‘Crown , Cornwall & Bugle: Kings crown Royal Tank Regiment With tank & ‘Fear Naught’ motto: 1st Battalion, 2nd King Edward VII's Own Gurkha Rifles (The Sirmoor Rifles) With Prince Of Wales Feathers 'Ich Dien' motto Number 1, crossed Kukris & Bugle. Also 2 brass shoulder titles: 11th Battalion Sikhs Regiment ‘11 Sikhs’ & Indian Tochi Scouts (Frontier Force). Also a British WW2 Defence Medal ribbon. All are mounted in their fitted wood case with 2 clasp fasteners. The wood is covered with snake skin print paper which has areas of wear. The box is lined with padded silk and blue felt again the material has staining and wear consistent with age. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2431
