Create my profile now!We can find little information about this model of air rifle. The blue book of air guns by Alllen states that the model 40 is similar to the model 30 which in turn is similar to the Model 20 which were produced in the 1930’s but with grooved wood furniture indicating pre war manufacture. This is a good example of the model 40. It has a blade fore sight and adjustable for elevation only rear sight. The 14 ¾” long barrel’s rifled bore is clean. The cylinder is marked ‘Haenel 40’ and the barrel has calibre detail. The rifle is just 36” overall length. The weapon's cocking & firing actions work as they should. The blued metal work has even patina and the wood stock is undamaged. The stock has a ribbed section butt and correct finger grooves to the fore stock. The underside of the wood has an original Stensby & Co Manchester label. The price includes UK delivery. AI 689
