INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a British M.2G. fuse Setting Mark 1 gauge in its original factory fitted case used for testing fuse setters used to set fuses on artillery projectiles. The fuse setter is made of machined steel and has two knurled rings on the bottom half. The top of the fuse is graduated S and 0 to 75 with a small vernier setting scale above it. The body is stamped CM.1324A GAGUE TESTING M26 FUSE SETTER 1967 (date) SERIAL No 64/37 and highlighted in black. The green painted mahogany fitted case is stencilled on the lid GAGUE TESTING M.2G FUSE SETTER MK1 CM.140 GA and a crowfoot. The green painted case is made of dovetailed timber with two brass hinges with a steel fastening clasp and is stencilled in white GAUGE TESTING M.2G FUSE SETTER MK1. CM. 140 GA. The inside of the case has a label with instructions for use and felt covered securing wooden pads.
