INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an early 1976 American drill round for (30x173) GAU-8 7 barrelled Gatling aircraft gun fitted to the Republic A10 tank buster aircraft, produced from 1977 and is capable of firing 4,200 rounds per minute. The alloy cartridge case has an orange lacquered finish and is stenciled in white 30MM over PGU -16 over P/N 400/05 over AOMC AJD 31-1 over DATE 8-76 (August 1976). The gold lacquered steel projectile has two nylon driving bands and appears to have a dummy alloy fuse. The dummy fuse is stenciled in black AJD-30-2-76 . There are two crimp rings at the case neck. No licence is required to retain this inert round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. Price includes UK delivery. 14337
