Description

INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a MINT condition WW2 (1941 dated) German 20mm MK 151/20 (20x82) HE (High Explosive) aircraft cannon round fitted to various German aircraft during WW2, including the Me109, FW190, various night fighters and bomber aircraft. The round has a brown lacquered steel cartridge case and is percussion primed with a brass primer held in with 3 stab crimps and a black annulus. The cartridge case is headstamped eey (Metallwarenfabrik Treuenbrietzen GmbH, Roederhof) 39 k 42 (1942 date) waffenampt 151. The high explosive incendiary projectile retains all of its original yellow painted finish with a green incendiary band under the nose fuse together with its original stencilling. The projectile is stamped above the iron driving band eel (Metallwarenfabrik vormals H. Wissner AG, Werk Brotterode / Hessen-Nassau) 3a 42 (1942 date) waffenampt 10. The projectile is stencilled in white round its circumference in black edq (Munitionsfabriken AG, Luebeck- Schlutup) 21 42 (1942 date) waffenampt 66. The projectile is also stencilled below this in italics wg (Hasag, Hugo Schneider AG, Altenburg plant) 11a 42(1942 date) 115g (weight of the projectile) waffenampt 54. The AZ1504 aluminium nose fuse is stamped AZ1504 edt 96 1941 (date) waffenampt 20. The projectile is sealed at the case mouth with a black coloured sealant. The round has its original 3 piece cardboard transit tube which has impressed on the top 1942 (date) and a makers monogram of CA. Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks in the necks. The price for this mint condition round which are rarely found in this condition includes UK delivery and no licence is required to possess inert rounds in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display.
