Description

INERT DEACTIVATED**RARE & ORIGINAL WW2 Era Nazi German Model 24 Stielhandgranate 'Stick' Grenade By ‘AEG’ (Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft AG (General Electricity Company). O 1589 - O 1589

**INERT DEACTIVATED** The Model 24 Stielhandgranate (German, "stalk hand grenade") was the standard hand grenade of the German Army Inter war through to the end of World War II. The very distinctive appearance led to its being called a "stick grenade", or a "potato masher" in British Army slang, and is today one of the most easily recognized infantry weapons of the 20th century. This is a rare, original Model 24 Stick Grenade. It measures 14" overall length. The grenade disassembles i.e. the alloy end cap and hollow steel casing screw off. The casing has been repainted black at some point in its life. The grenade’s belt hook, friction cord and porcelain ball toggle are present and intact. The undamaged 'stick' has impressed manufacturer mark ‘AEG’ which is Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft AG (AEG) (German: "General electricity company") and ‘5 ½ SEK’ (‘Sekunden’ 5 ½ seconds ignition delay). The price for this rare WW2 era stick grenade includes UK delivery. O 1589
