INERT DEACTIVATED. Rare, Unfired WW1 (1915 dated) British No 82 Mark III Nose Fuse For The 4.5 inch Howitzer Shrapnel Round. O 1480 - O 1480

INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired British WW1 (1915 dated) No 82 mark III nose fuse for the .5 inch howitzer shrapnel round. The fuse was a modified British No 80 time and percussion fuse and the time element was altered at the lower settings by a small steel plate riveted on to the bottom time ring by three brass rivets. The fuse is stamped No.82 III COW monogram (Coventry Ordnance Works) 6/15 (June 1915 date). The fuse is complete with the percussion plunger under the alloy top cap. No licence is required to possess this in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery. O 1480
