INERT DEACTIVATED This is an inert unfired British WW2 1940 dated 3 Inch high explosive mortar with a No152 mark 1A nose fuse, protector cap and adapter ring/gaine. The fuse is stamped on the side No152 Mk 1 A MR-/41 followed by a WD crowfoot. And also CY (ROF Chorley) 12 41 (December 1941) 34. The screw off protective fuse cap is marked REMOVE BOFORE FIRING No152.1 M&R The lacquered body retains most original clear lacquered finish, including its red (high explosive) band at the nose and a green (Amatol) band at the middle. The lower body has traces of white stenciling 11 8 BO. The body is stamped in rows FH 3 MO 10LB 111 SX 6/40 (June 1940) a WD crowfoot and a crowfoot inspection mark over H2. CS 7V-H 3MOR 10?BM CF 2-45 The lacquered steel fins are stamped on one of the fins XX LTD 5/40 (May 1940 date).
