INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an inert unused mint Oerlikon KDC (35x228) round. The guns are currently in use as towed guns, self-propelled AA guns, mounted on armoured vehicles and personnel carriers, and are placed on naval vessels usually in a twin mount and often radar controlled. This dummy round has green lacquered steel cased round is headstamped OE 79 . Where the case primer should be is a slotted round bolt which is used to clamp the dummy round together The projectile consists of an alloy representative projectile which is lacquered in a purple colour.
