INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original WW1 German Model 1913 rifle grenade. This rifle grenade was the first developed by the Germans and consists of a cast iron pre segmented cylinder with a brass nose fuse. The body was screwed onto a brass adapter and there is a 18 inch rod with a copper gas check screwed into the bottom of it. The grenade is fitted with an 8cm range reducing disc under the brass nose fuse. This disc was used to reduce the range of the projectile when fired at close ranges.
