**INERT**DEACTIVATED**This is an excellent, original, WW1, Mills No 5 MK I, Hand Grenade. The grenade’s brass base plug bears the manufacturer mark ‘Calthorpe Motor Co (1912) Ltd’, 9/15 date (September 1915), model designation & WD arrow. The casing has a small WD arrow and another small indistinct mark. The grenade has its original brass filler plug, ring with pin, lever, striker and spring.
