The brass cartridge case is percussion primed with a red primer annulus and is headstamped 42 63 k eek (Deutsche Star-Kugelhalter GmbH, Schweinfurt) Waffenampt 75. The Meinengeschloss (M geschloss) high explosive projectile has a copper driving band with a steel nose fuse stamped AZ1505 eeo (Deutsche Waffe- u. Minitionsfabriken AG, Posen plant) 974 42 and waffenampt 118. The projectile retains approximately 85% or the original yellow paint. It has the following black stencilling on the side M over edq (Deutsche Waffen- u. Munitionsfabriken AG, Luebeck Schlutup) 3h 42 Waffenampt 66 . There is also a stencilled green rectangle above the driving band with aso 21e 1942 waffenampt 50. Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks in the necks.
