INERT. The Oerlikon KAA/5TG cannon used in a manually-controlled mounting built by BMARC (British Manufacture and Research Company) under the designation A41/820 and was developed from the original Oerlikon cannon that armed many allied ships during WW2 as an anti-aircraft gun. The gun was installed on many British warships after lessons learnt in the Falklands War. This is an alloy dummy round for the Oerlikon KAA/5TG anti-aircraft cannon with a steel base. The round has a hexagonal keyway in the steel base where it was screwed into the alloy cartridge case profile and a 7mm blackened knurled band around its waist. The round is in excellent condition and is without any headstamp or markings to it. See Jane's Ammunition Handbook: Ninth Edition 2000-2001 edited by Terry J. Gander and Ian Hogg pages 45 – 46. The price includes U.K. delivery and no licence is required to possess this inert round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. O 2020
