The weapon will then be brought up to the EU specification and the relevant certificate obtained prior to the transfer of ownership and delivery**. The Firearms Grade, Italian Colt 1871-72 Patent Frontiersman replicates the Colt Frontiersman Single Action 6 shot .44 calibre revolvers. Favoured by 'Wild West' Lawmen the Colt Frontiersman pistols were also known as the 'Peacemaker'. This excellent deactivated example retains all of its original blue finish & colour case hardened action and hammer. It has undamaged simulated bone grips with embossed steer skull devices. The pistol is stamped 'PAT SEPT 19 1871July 2 72’ and the barrel is stamped with calibre detail & ‘Made In Italy’. The pistol has a side gate which covers nipples in the cylinders and it has a captive sliding rod. The pistol is serial number ‘E60736’. The revolver has a 7 ½” barrel (13 ¾” overall). It has a blade foresight and groove cylinder frame rear sight. Deactivated to UK specification in 2004 the pistol’s single action firing mechanism works as it should.
