This is a Stevens A&T take down Rook rifle. It has a 20 ½” round steel barrel stepped to octagonal. It’s rifled bore has staining and residue consistent with age & use.. It measures 36 ½” overall. Its ‘take down' mechanism is achieved by unscrewing the screw bolt at the underside of the action. All wood and metalwork have even patina throughout. The top of the barrel is crisply marked with manufacturer detail ‘J Stevens A&T Co Chicopee Falls Mass USA Pat Apr 17 94’. One barrel flat has calibre detail ‘.25 Stevens’. The weapon is number '245'. The cocking, firing and take down actions work as they should. It has a steel butt plate, a fixed blade fore sight, and flip up ‘v’ notch plate rear sight.
