The hilt and scabbard are made from richly carved ivory and fit together tightly. The scabbard has a wooden liner.
Both sides of the scabbard depict four Samurai in combat, with imperial lions near the neck. The grip has one Samurai to one side and two to the other, along with other detailing.
~ Dimensions ~
The Tanto is 13.5 inches (34cm) in length with an 8.25 inch (21cm) blade.
~ Condition ~
Condition wise, the blade is very clean - there is a single miniscule nick to the edge. The grip is complete and there are two hairline cracks. The scabbard has a chip at the mouth.
