Ka-Bar Knives, Inc formerly the Union Cutlery Co. of Olean, New York, is an internationally recognized cutlery company. Ka-Bar knives manufactures the world-famous Ka-Bar USMC Fighting/Utility Knives, along with many other fine knives for outdoorsmen, hunters, fishermen and knife collectors. The Ka-Bar trade name first appeared on knives made by the Union Cutlery Co, Olean New York in 1898 and is the contemporary popular name for the combat knife first adopted by the United States Marine Corps in November 1942 as the USMC Mark 2 combat knife and subsequently adopted by the United States Navy as the U.S. Navy utility knife, Mark 2. This mint, boxed, USMC Ka-Bar knife was produced in 1998 to commemorate 100 years of Ka-Bar production. It has the correct compressed leather ring handle in as new condition and 7” black epoxy powder coated carbon steel blade with gold colour commemorative etching and blood groove. It has a black epoxy powder coated carbon steel guard and pommel. The knife measures 12” overall length. The knife has its original mint Brown leather scabbard with belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. The front of the scabbard is impressed with USMC Ka-Bar logo. The knife has its original card blade protector, original Ka-Bar illustrated retail cardboard box and information pamphlets. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2187
