~ Late 19th Century Sudanese Spear ~
Here we have what appears to be a type of spear that was common in the Sudan during the late 19th century to around 1900.
The spear is likely a bringback of a soldier serving during the area in the late 19th century.
The spear is made of a long thin shaft and a soft iron spear head, the sheathe of iron around the shaft is currently held on by friction but it most likely would have been secured with some type of wrap.
The blade has been polished by a previous owner.
~ Dimensions ~
The spear is 80 (203 cm) long.
The spear weighs 755g.
The blade is 22.5 inches (57 cm) long
~ Condition ~
The spear is in a good condition for its age, the shaft has been treated very well but obviously has some age to it.
The head of the spear has been polished by a previous owner.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £25 or it can be inspected in our shop.
