~ Late WW1 1907 Bayonet By Sanderson ~
Here we have a really late war piece of history, a bayonet made in the Sanderson factory a scant six months before the end of WW1.
The Sanderson factory was one of the larger makers of 1907 bayonets in WW1, this piece being made and accepted in April of 1918.
The bayonet has various markings showing the acceptance and reissue marks.
The spring in the scabbard is still tight and holds the blade fast.
The bayonet is in good shape for its age with a beautiful aged patina and nice supple leather.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade is 18 inches (47 cm) long.
The bayonet is 22.5 inches (57 cm) long.
The bayonet weighs 695g.
~ Condition ~
The bayonet is in a great condition for its age with just some minor wear to the stamps and to the metalwork of the scabbard.
