1915 BSA Lee Enfield SMLE MKIII with 1915 Sanderson bayonet.
A very rare find in deactivated format.
The reason this rifle is rare is because it is marked up to the 2nd Battalion of the Manchester Regiment. This was the battalion of Wilfred Owen and as such, is of enhanced historical interest. Would make a fantastic centre of attraction display piece.
Both the rifle and bayonet have been in family possession for a number of years and are believed to have been brought back from France following WW1.
Butt marker disc - 2 MAN 420
