~ M41 Tropical Other Ranks Army Cap ~
Here we have the tropical cap of an enlisted man in the German Army, this pattern was accepted earlier in World War Two and entered production in 1941 for soldiers serving in Africa and tropical climates.
This is a sand coloured field cap with the Roundel on the front, the stitching where the eagle would be sewn on is visible but the eagle and swastika has been removed. The cap comes to a peak at the front and slopes back, there are two eyelets on either side of the hat for ventilation.
The cap has a makers mark dating it to 1942 and made by Opoika & Muller Hamburg.
The fabric has lots of dark patches indicating use and the stitching is in good condition.
~ Dimensions ~
The cap is 12 inches from back to peak.
The cap is 125 g.
~ Condition ~
There is some discolouration to the fabric on the peak of the cap but otherwise the cap is in a good condition for its age.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £15, international at cost and it can be viewed in our shop.
