Description
Early 1938 dated K98 made under the code 42 which relates to the Mauser-Werke Oberndorf factory. This gun is profusely decorated with Eagle and Waffenhampt stamps to almost every part of the gun. With all matching numbers to action,barrel,rear sight,butt plate,woodwork, barrel bands and even the trigger plate screws. Only the bolt is not matching. Made with the varnished laminated stock this is a really good example of the early K98 production with a good clean bore.
If only it could tell us where it had been!
