Again this is a Mosin Nagant that I hand selected some years ago cherry picking through the stocks of the main importer. The owner has given up shooting so it is for sale again.

As nice an example as you can find of a Model 1891/30 manufactured at the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1927 with a plethora of arsenal markings and Russian Commission proof house markings. Nice early Mosin Nagant’s that have escaped deactivation are becoming scarcer to find and this is one that has a good bore and has been looked after.
This has the modified type 4 sight optimistically calibrated to 2000 metres and the hexagonal knox that was later replaced with a round knox.
For more information read Terence Lapin’s good and concise work “The Mosin Nagant Rifle” in the “For Collectors Only” series.
An iconic rifle which was issued one between two soldiers at the siege of Leningrad and Stalingrad so the second soldier could pick up the rifle when the first soldier became a casualty!
An essential rifle for any WW2 allied/axis collection and a decent example.
