A scarce Napoleonic era French Military Flintlock Officer's Pistol manufactured at the French Military arsenal at St. Etienne and dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Circa 1800-1815. Rounded brass military skull-crusher butt-cap, matching brass military style trigger-guard, forend band and sideplate. Action in excellent working order. Complete with its steel ramrod. The lock engraved with the arsenal name. This type of heavy calibre flintlock pistol were carried by French infantry and cavalry officers during the era of the Napoleonic campaigns of the late 18th-early 19th century. Overall length 14.5 inches. Good condition and in working order. Ref 7959.
