Pistol / Hand GunsMuzzleloaderUsed£ 995
REDUCED FOR A QUICK SALE. John Prossers workshop was in Charring Cross London 1797 to 1813, the address is still visible on the top of the barrel. As well as being an excellent and well known gunsmith he was also sword and belt maker to the king, plenty on the internet. He was known for making high quality pistols for the officer class at that time with heavily chequered grips, such as this example.
Inscribed on the butt plate is the owners initials which appears to be IRJ, which is a nice addition.
9" Barrel, .69 calibre, swivel ramrod, walnut stock, engraving.
In very good condition with fully working action
Doubt you will find a gun of this quality at this price!.
A beautiful piece, will consider sensible offers. originally from Andrew Bottomley, you can still find it on his sold page.
