Description

An original Boer War British Webley .450 Service revolver holster for the short barrel. The Webley Revolver, also known as the Webley 'Break Top Revolver' or Webley Self-Extracting Revolver was, in various marks, the standard issue service pistol for the armed forces of the United Kingdom, the British Empire, and the Commonwealth from 1887. The Webley Mk I service revolver was adopted in 1887. A later version, the Mk IV, rose to prominence during the Boer War of 1899?1902. The holster is dark brown leather and is complete. All the stitching is secure and present. The holster retains a very nice patina. It has two belt loops which are secured to the holster with stitching and rivets and a side loop for a cleaning rod. The holster has an ammunition pouch stitched onto the front, divided into two with a fold over flap secured with a steel button, as can be seen in one of the photographs. The holster measures 7 1/2" long and 5 1/4" wide. The price includes UK delivery.
