Description

This is MG34 is a German recoil-operated air-cooled general-purpose machine gun used throughout the 2nd World War. The operator of this weapon would be able to switch between semi automatic firing mode to fully automatic with the double crescent trigger. Although the MG 34 was fairly reliable, it was sensitive to extreme weather conditions (dirt and mud) but when competently maintained, it was dominant on the battlefield. Its dissemination throughout the German forces was hampered due to its precision engineering with tight tolerances and use of high-quality metal alloys, which resulted in high machine time, skilled labour requirements, production costs and a relatively slow rate of production. This model was eventually superseded by the MG42; however, both weapons were produced until the end of the war. This gun cocks and dry fires.

*Condition*

This MG34 is in excellent condition for its age and usage. The number 7395 is featured all over the weapon and is scratched into some parts. All stamps (including waffenamt) are clear. Please see pictures for more detail.
