A nice pair of Royal Air Force, Air Ministry issue binoculars. The binoculars used on night missions by Mosquito and Beaufighter aircraft crews have excellent optics. The brass casing has most of its original black finish.The binoculars have lanyard bars fitted with original leather neck strap. As is common, one of the Bakelite eye cups is chipped (both are secure). The binoculars are stamped with WD arrow and designation ‘Ref No. 6E/338. They are contained in their original brown leather fitted case with hinged lid which has a single retaining strap and buckle & adjustable shoulder strap. The top of the lid is crisply impressed with Air Ministry ‘AM' mark, Ref No. 6E-338 and 'Binoculars For Night Use'. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 17430
