The iron hand guard with large disc pommel and long spike. The blade single edged with 3 narrow fullers. The guard fitted with a nicely shaped iron cross-guard fitted underneath the knuckle bow. A very unusual sword type. Overall length 43 inches. A nice old repair to inside of the hand guard, otherwise in good condition. Ref 1372.
