Blued barrel and cylinder. The frame, cylinder and barrel still retaining much of its original blued finish. Unusual type of spring loaded rammer fitted under the barrel. The butt fitted with an opening butt-trap to the bottom of grips. The barrel engraved on top "PETER LEE - SKIPTON". Circa 1845-1855. Generally in excellent overall condition. I have never before seen a revolver engraved with the name Lee or indeed any percussion pistol retailed in Skipton (Yorkshire). This revolver is much better quality than most transitional revolvers. Barrel is approx 5.5 inches in length. Overall length is approx 12 inches. Ref 1754. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only.
