A very scarce under-hammer 4 barrelled Mariette style ring-trigger Percussion pepper-box revolver. Manufactured in Liege circa 1840-1850. The 4 screw-off barrels individually numbered 1 to 4. The flash-guard has an opening cut into the right hand side to place the percussion caps upon the nipples. Action works fine. Very good condition. Overall length approx 7.5 inches. Ref 1884.
