The gunmaker's name W. Hole Bristol engraved on the 3 inch octagonal barrel. William Hole had a workshop at 12 St Augustine's Back (1801-1830) and 27 High Street (1830-1844) in Bristol. The Brass frame engraved. Drop down trigger. Birmingham proof marks. Silver wire inlay to the grip and a diamond shaped escutcheon to the rear of the grip. Overall length 7.25 inches. Action in good working order. A small amount of the silver wire inlay is missing from the wooden grip, otherwise in quite good condition.
