Largest selection of genuine antique weapons for sale in UK. See our website andrewbottomley.com. Ref 2060. A rare U. S. Civil War era Cooper 5 shot double action Navy Model .36 percussion revolver. Circa 1864-1869. The six inch Octagonal barrel marked with a three line address, COOPER FIRE ARMS MFG.CO. FRANKFORD PHILA.PA./PAT. JAN 7 1851 APR.25, 1854 SEP.4, 1860/SEPT.1,1863. SEPT.22,1863. The advantage of the Cooper revolver over its competition was it's ability to shoot both single action and double action, doing away with having to re-cock the revolver after each shot is taken. Single action could still be used when greater accuracy was desired. In extremely good condition showing hardly any signs of use and retaining much of its original blued finish. Action in excellent working order. Overall length 11 inches. A good example of a civil war percussion revolver. Ref 2060. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only. No Licence is required in the United Kingdom.
