Dating from the time of the Californian Gold Rush. Two piece wooden bag shaped grips secured with a single screw. Steel trigger guard. Scroll engraving to the frame. The octagonal barrel engraved "ALLEN THURBER & co. Patented 1845". In good honest well used condition. A nice piece of American Wild West history and exactly the type of single shot pocket pistol carried and easily hidden by gold miners, gamblers and travellers at the time. Approx cal .31. Action works fine. Overall length 6 inches. Ref 2086. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only. No Licence is required in the United Kingdom.
