A scarce English Flintlock box-lock muff pistol with a brass frame and barrel engraved Twigg. Circa 1790-1800. Stand of arms engraved to one side of the frame and the makers name "TWIGG" engraved within an oval shape on the other side of the frame. Sliding top safety and drop down concealed trigger. Two British proof marks stamped to the underside of breech. Flat sided walnut grips. Overall length is just under 5 inches. In good working order and condition. Ref 2211.
