Charles Vaughan had a workshop at 39 The Strand, London circa 1833. Approx .65 calibre. Steel trigger guard engraved to the middle with a stand of arms. The octagonal barrel engraved on top "LONDON" and inlaid at the breech with a gold line and gold lined touch-hole. Two iron ramrod pipes and complete with original horn tipped wooden ramrod. The lock-plate fitted with a sliding safety and engraved with the makers name. Fully adjustable set-trigger. Nicely browned octagonal barrel 9 inches in length and fitted with a blade shaped front-sight . The barrel fitted with a V rear sight at the breech. The Walnut stock inset at the wrist with a plain silver oval escutcheon, nicely chequered grip. This pistol is in very good condition. Overall length 15 inches.
