A very scarce continental all brass flintlock pistol engraved Godin, Liege. Probably circa 1770-1800. Approximately .50 calibre. Engraved on the side plate with the makers name GODIN and on the opposite side-plate Liege. The top of the four inch barrel engraved KAPITEIN - VAN HOOFT - ANTWERPEN. (Quite possibly a naval captain as all brass pistols were often naval weapons.) Flat sided wooden bag shaped grip. Brass trigger guard and ramrod pipes. Steel ramrod. Action in working order. In good condition overall, with a few minor dings and scratches. Overall length 8 inches. Worthy of further research. Ref 2590.
