A scarce American WHITNEYVILLE ARMOURY 6 shot revolver with slightly longer barrel than usual, circa 1873. Obsolete .32 Rimfire calibre. These scarce early production rim-fire revolvers were made after the end of the American Civil war, from around 1871 to 1879. The barrel engraved " WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT USA". Nice carved wooden birds head grips. Cylinder with some very light wear, otherwise in good fairly crisp order. Overall length 8 inches. Ref 2591.
