A rare factory engraved American Marlin .30 calibre Rimfire tip-up, 5 shot pocket Revolver circa 1875-1880. Action very crisp. The side of barrel marked with the makers name "J. Marlin. New Haven, Ct. USA. July 1st 1878". The top of the barrel marked "X X X Standard 1878". The wooden grips are in nice original condition. The whole pistol is in good condition. Very crisp tight action. This pistol still has around 70% of the original nickel plated finish. These factory engraved revolvers are getting difficult to find and are a nice addition to any gun collection. Length 7 inches. Ref 2595.
