Marked on top of the 2 inch barrel EMPIRE PAT. NOV.21. 71. and J. RUPERTUS. PHILA. stamped on the side of the barrel. Jacob Rupertus founded the Rupertus Patented Pistol Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia 1859 at 1924 North 4th Street and was active until 1899. Wooden birds head grips, spur trigger. 5 shot semi fluted cylinder. In good condition showing minor signs of wear & use. Action in good working order. Overall length 7 inches. A good example of a .41 rimfire revolver. Rupertus manufactured only 700 of these rim-fire revolvers and in .41 calibre they are getting very hard to find. Ref 2653.
